Why the recipient received less money than I sent?
In rare cases, your recipient might receive less money than you sent. Here are the steps you can take if this happens:
- Understand possible fees: Some countries have additional fees for incoming international transfers. These fees are deducted from the final amount your recipient receives. We inform you about these charges before you initiate a transaction.
The following countries have a flat $10 fee: Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and New Zealand.
In Sri Lanka, USD transactions may incur a variable fee charged by the recipient's bank.
- Check local regulations: Verify with the recipient's bank and local regulations. Sometimes, additional fees and charges may be imposed by banks or third parties that are not commonly known.
