Why is my money transfer taking so long?
When sending money with RemitBee, we always provide an estimated completion date for your transfer. While 99% of our transfers arrive on time, unexpected delays can happen.
If your transfer takes longer than expected, here is the list of reasons which could cause the delay:
- Unsuccessful payment:
If the payment for your transaction was unsuccessful, we won't receive the funds, and your transfer will be on hold.
- Incorrect recipient details:
If the recipient's details are incorrect, we won't be able to deposit the funds and complete the transaction. If our partner confirms that the details are incorrect, you'll have the option to enter the correct details on the Transaction Details screen and reprocess the transfer. If you don't see this option and notice a mistake, please contact our customer support.
- Technical issues:
Technical problems, such as system maintenance by our overseas partner or the recipient's local bank, can cause delays. We will inform all affected customers as soon as we are notified of such issues.
- Bank holidays:
Government holidays in Canada or the recipient's country can delay transactions and affect the processing times for all transfers.
If you have reviewed the above reasons and still cannot determine why your transfer is delayed, please contact our customer support. Our team will investigate and provide you with more information about your specific case.
