Scheduled transfers: Important restrictions

Scheduled transfers have some built-in limitations that differ from regular transfers. Understanding these restrictions upfront saves frustration.

Why can't I schedule my first transfer?

If you're a new user, your first transfer with RemitBee can't be scheduled. You need to complete your verification and send a regular money transfer first (it's a security measure that protects both you and us).

After you complete your first regular transfer, the scheduling feature becomes available, and you can start scheduling future transfers. The wait is minimal, usually just a few minutes after your first transfer completes.

What's not available for scheduled transfers?

Scheduled transfers work differently from regular transfers. You won't get:

Special rates

Scheduled transfers don't receive preferential or promotional exchange rates. You'll receive the standard rate that's locked in on your scheduled date (because special rates are tied to real-time market conditions and we can't guarantee those rates weeks or months from now).

Rewards and promo codes

You can't apply rewards or promo codes to scheduled transfers.

Live exchange rates

When scheduling a transfer, we don't show current live exchange rates (because the rate you see today won't be the rate used for your transfer anyway). You'll only see:

  • "You pay approximately" (if you choose the exact receive amount)
  • "Recipient gets approximately" (if you choose exact send amount)
  • The final rate gets locked in on your scheduled date.

How far ahead can I schedule recurring transfers?

Recurring transfers can't be scheduled for more than one year. The total duration from start date to end date must fall within a 12-month window.

If you set up a recurring transfer on June 1st, 2025, the latest end date you can choose is June 1st, 2026. All transfers in the recurring sequence must fall within your one-year timeframe (exchange rates become too unpredictable beyond that point).

Can I make changes to my scheduled transfer?

No. You can't modify a scheduled transfer once it's set up. If you need to make changes, cancel the scheduled transfer and create a new one with the updated details.
