PRESS RELEASE: VM Money Transfer Services Partners with Remitbee to Expand Remittance to Jamaica

Jamaican residents in Canada now have an additional avenue to send remittances to their homeland, thanks to a recent agreement between VM Money Transfer Services Limited (VMTS) and Remitbee Online Money Transfer and Foreign Exchange Services.

Remitbee offers online remittance services to individuals and businesses in Canada seeking to send funds worldwide. They provide swift transfers, competitive rates, and exclusive discounts. Customers can also send mobile top-ups and perform foreign currency conversions using the company's app or web platform. This collaboration marks VMTS's fourth partnership in the North American country.

In endorsing the partnership, VMTS CEO Michael Howard emphasized, "We recognize the significance of remittances to both our economy and the individuals who rely on these services for personal and business endeavors. Statistics reveal that Canada remains one of the top three countries for remittance inflows to Jamaica. Hence, this partnership not only extends our outreach but also enhances convenience for our clients, which is a valuable opportunity."

The Remitbee team, led by CEO and Co-founder Yogi Yoganathan, formalized the agreement with a visit to Jamaica on January 12, 2024. Chief Operating Officer Manos Yoganathan expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "We are excited to collaborate with VM Money Transfer Services to empower the Jamaican community in Canada with fast, cost-effective, and secure money transfer solutions. This partnership underscores our commitment to our customers and their families, simplifying the process of sending support back home."

VMTS, through its network, facilitates global money transfer services for customers sending funds to Jamaica from Europe, the UK, United States, Canada, the Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos. Customers can conveniently collect their remittances in Jamaica from over 70 sub-agents, 8 VM Money Express locations, and 16 VM Building Society branches across the island. Recipients also have the option to have their funds directly deposited into their Jamaican bank accounts through VMTS' Direct to Bank Service.

The VMTS CEO reaffirms the agency's commitment to continually seek profitable partnerships that enhance the money transfer experience for their clients.
