How BDO works
BDO Unibank is a Philippine bank also commonly known as BDO or Banco de Oro. The recipient should confirm the exact bank name and account details before the sender starts the transfer.
RemitBee can send the converted Philippine peso amount directly to an eligible BDO account. The recipient does not need a RemitBee account to receive the deposit.
Once the money reaches the account, the recipient can access it through the services available with their BDO account, including online banking, bank transfers, card payments, ATMs, or branch services.
BDO Network Bank is a separate bank selection from BDO Unibank. Always choose the institution shown in the recipient's official account information to help prevent delays or rejected transfers.

Why choose BDO?
Sending directly to a BDO account gives recipients in the Philippines a convenient way to receive PHP without visiting a cash-pickup location. With RemitBee, senders can review the transfer cost, exchange rate, delivery estimate, and expected amount before confirming the transaction.
Choose BDO during your RemitBee transfer to send the quoted Philippine peso amount directly to the recipient's eligible account. Before confirming, you can review the amount charged in Canadian dollars, the transfer fee, the CAD-to-PHP exchange rate, and the amount the recipient is expected to receive.
Once the deposit arrives, the recipient can use the account services available to them through BDO. Depending on the account, this may include paying bills, transferring money, using a debit card, withdrawing cash from an ATM, managing funds online, or visiting a branch when in-person support is needed.
RemitBee uses account verification, transaction monitoring, and transfer tracking to help protect international transfers. Senders should still confirm the recipient's full name, bank selection, and account number through a trusted contact method. Never share passwords, one-time verification codes, card details, or other private account information with anyone requesting them.
Access funds through BDO across the Philippines
They may be able to withdraw cash from an ATM, pay with a linked card, transfer funds through BDO's digital services, pay bills, or visit a branch. Account access, withdrawal limits, fees, and service availability can vary by account type.
The recipient should review their current BDO account terms before making a withdrawal or transfer. Sending directly to an account can also remove the need to travel to a separate cash-pickup location or present a transfer reference in person.
