Intermex connects cash pickup through Mexico's wider payout network
Intermex was founded in 1994 and currently maintains an international office in Puebla, giving the company an operational presence inside Mexico alongside its Miami headquarters.
Its 2026 annual report says Intermex operates subsidiary payer networks in Mexico, while its Latin American paying agents generally include banks, financial institutions, convenience outlets, bodegas, and larger retail chains.
The same filing lists Intermex Transfers de Mexico and Intermex Wire Transfer de Mexico among the company's Mexican subsidiaries, reinforcing that the payout infrastructure is more than a single branded storefront model.
Intermex also maintains a payer-location tool for finding places where transfers can be received, while its own guidance notes that some payer networks allow collection broadly and others require a specific location to be selected.
