Lights of Hope
One of the best Christmas lights in Vancouver, the Lights of Hope display in front of St. Paul's Hospital is not to be missed. We recommend you take in the holiday spirit as you walk or drive by. It is free, but you can donate onsite or online to support Providence Health Care hospitals. You can donate here directly
Since 1998, people have celebrated Lights of Hope and encouraged the community to show their support through a light display on St. Paul's Hospital. Thousands of people visit St. Paul's every year to watch the Christmas lights, eventually becoming a holiday tradition.
Fun fact: Hundreds of volunteers use donated resources to build the display, including ten kilometres of lights! And did you know that despite its size, BC Hydro claims that Lights of Hope consumes very little electricity?
LED bulbs, which account for 60% of all lighting, are a big part of this energy efficiency. The total cost of running the entire display is only $65 every night!

The light show will begin on November 18, 2021.

Lumière
Lumière is a spectacular set of interactive light shows hosted in Vancouver (Vancouver's West End, Downtown, and Granville Island). It is one of the best Christmas lights in Vancouver that is free for everybody to enjoy! They say the best time to see the show is after sunset. Also, do not forget to observe proper social distancing.
When?
From November 12 until November 30, 2021. Some of the installations will stay until February 2022.

English Bay, 1800 Morton Avenue; Jim Deva Plaza, 1200 Bute Street; Bentall Centre, 1055 Dunsmuir; and Granville Island.

Stanley Park Bright Nights Christmas Train
How is the idea of taking a ride on a train through a magical forest of lights while singing along with holiday carols?
Closed since 2019, the Stanley Park Bright Nights Christmas Train is finally back to give us another memorable holiday experience. Although Santa will not be present and the North Pole will still be closed, the train ride and plaza will be open once more!
Note: Masks are recommended for children three years old and above. If you forget your mask, disposable masks will be available on site.
Ticket prices range from $9.45 to $15.30, including taxes and service fees for children three years old and above. Children below two years old are free, but they still must have a ticket.
There is a limit on the number of people who can attend. We recommend arriving at the entrance 30 minutes ahead of time as latecomers will be refused entry.

Dundarave Festival of Lights
Dundarave Festival of Lights will not leave you out in the cold during the perfect Canadian Christmas. The Festival's "Forest of Miracles" covers the West Vancouver waterfront, Dundarave Beach eastward to Millennium Park and the Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria this Christmas season.
The Festival's Christmas trees on Dundarave Beach are sponsored and decorated by families, community groups, and businesses. They have earned over a third of a million dollars for the Lookout Society's North Shore Shelter since 2008!
When?
From November 27, 2021, until January 2, 2022. The trees are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Festival of Trees
For almost 30 years, the Festival of Trees in Vancouver has been a community tradition. Thanks to sponsors and organizations, the hotel lobby will be transformed into a holiday paradise with beautifully adorned trees to raise BC Children's Hospital Foundation donations.
This year, all funds will go to BC Children's Hospital's mental health programs. This event is free, so come to this place, get in the holiday mood, and vote for your favourite tree! Overall, this is the best place to look at Christmas lights in Vancouver.
