How international money transfers work
International wire transfers occur through the SWIFT network, where transfer instructions are transmitted from the sender's bank to the recipient's bank. Prior to approving the transfer, any applicable fees are evaluated. Either the sender's bank or the recipient's bank will determine the exchange rate between CAD and LKR, and the funds are then transferred between the respective accounts.

The funds will be delivered through Alliance Finance's system directly to the recipient's account, providing them with visibility of when the money arrives. While the average processing time is one business day, in certain cases, it can be as quick as a few minutes.
The maximum amount you can transfer depends on your verification level. Once you have been authenticated, you have the capability to send up to 9,000 CAD per day and 50,000 CAD per month. Explore further details about our verification levels to determine which one suits your needs best.

Transfers exceeding 500 CAD incur no charges, while transfers below 500 CAD are subject to the following fees:
