How international money transfers work

All international wire transfers use the SWIFT network to take place. Transfer instructions are sent from the sender’s bank to the recipient’s. Any fees that apply are assessed before the transfer is approved. Once one of the banks has calculated the exchange rate, the money is moved between accounts. This is how a Co-operative Bank of Kenya international money transfer will work as well.
