First Global Bank, Jamaica, is a commercial bank originating in 1970 as the First National Bank of Chicago (Jamaica) Limited. On 3rd November 2000. GraceKennedy Ltd acquired the bank and renamed it First Global Bank in January 2002. The bank offers commercial banking services and products.

First Global Bank (FGB) has 8 branches and 9 ATMs, with over 400 staff. The bank's headquarters is in Kingston, Jamaica.

In 2009, FGB received $20 million from IFC(International Finance Corporation) to help the bank expand its services to small and medium enterprises. IFC believes that the two enterprises will help in job creation in Jamaica.

How can the receiver in Jamaica access the funds I've sent?

For the time being, your recipient's only means of accessing the funds you've provided is through their Jamaican bank account. If the recipient’s Jamaican bank account allows online transfers, they can withdraw through their smartphone or ATM.

Can I use Remitbee to send money from Canada to a First Global Bank account in Jamaica?

Will the recipient have to pay any fee?
