RemitBee’s Support for Underprivileged Children in Mexico

By Remitbee - Dec 21, 2022

It’s that time of the year again! Christmas is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to start thinking about how we can give back to our communities. RemitBee is proud to support a local Posada event in the Puerto de Flores community in Saltillo, Mexico, this year.

A Posada is a traditional Mexican party that is usually held around Christmas time. It typically involves food, music, piñatas, and candies. The word "posada" means "inn" or "shelter" in Spanish, and traditionally, posadas were meant to recreate Mary and Joseph's journey to find a place to stay in Bethlehem. Nowadays, posadas are more like festive holiday parties where friends and family can get together to celebrate.

The Puerto de Flores community in Saltillo, Mexico, is composed mostly of people living in poverty with little to no access to basic needs like housing, medical care, and food. Every year, the community holds a Christmas Posada, which is a traditional Mexican party. This year, RemitBee provides food for over 400 children at the Posada on December 17th.

RemitBee's graphic designer, David Valdes, helped organize the event.

"Special events like this leave an impact on children's hearts and prove that collaboration is the way to lead a better tomorrow," explains David.

RemitBee is thrilled to be able to support such a worthy cause this holiday season. We believe that every child deserves to enjoy the festive spirit of Christmas, and we are committed to helping make that happen.
