Remitbee Recipe: A Taste of Sri Lanka - Chicken Palandi

Sri Lankans looking for a different and delicious, this dish fits the bill perfectly! Crisp, golden brown, and soft and succulent inside, this wonderfully textured and flavored Sri Lankan Chicken Palandi recipe is going to be the favorite dish among any family!

Ingredients

• 500g chicken, diced
• 2 eggs
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 3 tomatoes, diced
• 2 tablespoons yogurt
• 1/2 cup thick coconut milk
• Curry Leaves
• Green chilies
• Cinnamon
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 tablespoon garlic and ginger paste
• Coriander powder
• Cumin powder
• Turmeric powder
• Crushed pepper
• Fenugreek and cardamom seeds
• Salt

Instructions

1. Add salt, ginger, and garlic to season the chicken.
2. Transfer the fried chicken into another bowl.
3. Add 1 tablespoon oil into a pan
4. Add curry leaves, onion, tomato cardamon, and fenugreek seeds 5.Fry that several minutes
5. Add yogurt into the chicken.
6. Then add the prepared chicken mix into the onion mix.
7. Add all the spices with the green chilies and cook until the chicken has absorbed all the flavors well
8. Allow to cook for about three or five minutes and add in the thick coconut milk
9. Cook until there is no gravy in it
10. Beat the eggs adding salt and mix the prepared eggs into the chicken
11. Pour around the chicken and Let the eggs cook for a couple of minutes and turn off the heat.

Serve hot with rice, fresh bread, or soft, fluffy naan roti.
