In the next episode of Remitbee Expert, we speak with Ontario Health’s, Clinical Epidemiologist, Dr. Nevis about COVID - 19 and the effect on public health and society.

As a Clinical Epidemiologist with Ontario Health, Dr. Immaculate Preethi Nevis has lots of leadership experience guiding teams, specifically pertaining to rebuilding frameworks and evaluating health technology. With a doctorate (PhD) in Clinical Epidemiology from McMaster University, a Master’s degree (MSc) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Western University, and a Medical degree (MBBS) from India, she has served as a medical officer and practicing physician in a range of dynamic, and often resource-constrained environments across India, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
She developed her skills for engagement, administration, and management by completing her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Brock University, where she is now also an Adjunct Professor and teaches ‘Public health’ and ‘Epidemiology’ courses.
Dr. Nevis is passionate about bettering the lives of people of Ontario through a high-level of engagement and empowerment, especially during these difficult times. On a personal note, she is a wife, a proud mother of two boys, and a supporter of the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health and Bladder Cancer Canada.
