Langara College, was founded in 1965 as part of Vancouver Community College and established its West 49th Avenue campus in 1970. The Provincial College and Institute Act established Langara College as an independent public college on April 1, 1994. The Musqueam First Nation, on whose unceded traditional territory we are located, has given us the name snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓, which means "house of teachings." Langara is now one of BC's premier undergraduate schools, with over 23,000 students enrolled in University Studies, Career Studies, and Continuing Studies programs and courses each year.

3. College of New Caledonia

Since 1969, the College of New Caledonia has served students in B.C.'s Central Interior, and since 1962 the B.C. Vocational School was also added. Three school districts make up the region: #28 Quesnel, #57 Prince George, and #91 Nechako Lakes. Career, Technical, Vocational, and University Credit programs are all available at the College. Approximately 5,000 pupils are enrolled on an annual basis.
