It is scored using the Comprehensive Ranking System or CRS, which incorporates language, education, work experience, age, and job offer, among other factors. Even though Express Entry does not require a job offer, candidates with better profiles will always be chosen above those who only fulfill the bare requirements.

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)

Vietnamese interested in immigrating to a specific Canadian province or territory can use the provincial nominee programs (PNPs) to acquire permanent residence in Canada.

Each province and territory in Canada, except Nunavut and Quebec, has its own PNP. Did you know that British Columbia is one of the provinces in Canada with the fastest visa processing time? The typical processing period for a visa in British Columbia is two to three months.

To be eligible for a PNP, you must have a full-time job offer that is valid for at least a year. Once approved, you will receive a Provincial Nomination (PN), which will help your application stand out when applying for permanent residence in Canada. A candidate that receives a provincial nomination gets an additional 600 CRS points, resulting in an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

The provinces in Canada that provide PNP are as follows:

  • Alberta
  • British Columbia
  • Manitoba
  • New Brunswick
  • Northwest Territories
  • Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Nova Scotia
  • Ontario
