The Canadian dollar (CAD) was trading higher against the American currency and the Japanese yen. However, it was trading lower against currencies such as the Indian rupee, the British pound, and the Chinese Yuan. In fact, the U.S. dollar was trading lower against the Indian rupee as well.
CAD was trading at 55.9674 against the Indian rupee at 2.28 p.m. GMT. It was down from the previous close of 56.301. CAD was up against the U.S. dollar at 0.7669 (2.29 p.m.). The Monday rate was 0.7666. At 2.30 p.m., the Canadian dollar was trading at 0.5698 against the British pound, which is lower compared to Monday’s rate of 0.5736. Again, CAD was down against the Euro at 0.6396 (2.31 p.m.), down from 0.6422 on Monday.
Against the Chinese Yuan, too, CAD was trading lower at 5.2268 (2.31 p.m.) against the Monday’s 5.2502. The CAD was higher against the Japanese yen at 81.1935 (2.34 p.m.). On Monday, CAD was 81.1723 against the yen.
