Canadian Dollar rules higher against major currencies

The Canadian dollar (CAD) has been trading higher against most major countries. However, the Canadian currency was quoting lower against the American dollar.

The CAD is up against the Indian rupee. At 4.12 p.m. (GMT), it was trading at 56.0866 against the rupee, up from the previous close of 55.9375.

The Canadian currency, however, was quoting lower against the American dollar. At 4.13 p.m., it was trading at 0.7652 against the U.S. currency, down from the previous close of 0.7656. Pound Today's exchange rate (0.5754) is higher compared to yesterday's rate (0.5717).

CAD was doing a tad better against the Euro at 0.646 (at 4.16 p.m.), up from the previous close 0.6423.

In fact, it was trading higher against both the Japanese yen and the Chinese Yuan.

CAD was at 81.1861 (4.17 p.m.) against the Japanese currency, up from 81.1164 previously. Against the Chinese Yuan, CAD was trading at 5.2372 (4.18 p.m.). It closed Tuesday at 5.2279 against Yuan.
