What's New?

Toronto Christmas Market Then, The Distillery Winter Village Now

Without a doubt, the Toronto Christmas Market is one of the most popular holiday events in Canada. Even CNN rated the Toronto Christmas Market as one of the world's top holiday markets last 2019 and was ranked one of the top Christmas markets in the world by Fodor's Travel. They say over 700,00 people visited the market throughout its six-week run.

When?

From November 18 until December 31, 2021.

Where?

55 Mill Street, Toronto, ON M5A 3C4

Because of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions on gatherings, the annual Christmas market was cancelled last year, and of course, many were sad. This year, put a smile on your face as the famous market has opened once again to start the holiday season in Toronto!

Nothing says "the best winter holiday ever" in Toronto, much like the annual Christmas market at The Distillery District. And yes, it's finally back - but there's more. The Toronto Christmas Market now has a brand new name and a new theme.

The market announced last month that the well-known market would be renamed The Distillery Winter Village. The Distillery Winter Village will be less like a traditional holiday market and more like a friendly event.

Even though the celebration took on a more modern look and intimate feel, traditional festival activities such as live music and the traditional tree lighting ceremony will stay.

What to do in Toronto Christmas Market/The Distillery Winter Village?

If you have not yet experienced sipping hot chocolate and browsing for gifts from local vendors while strolling around the market under twinkling lights, visit Toronto Christmas Market.

After missing out in 2020, people started to visit the market to check out food vendors and the big Christmas tree lighting ceremony this year.

Overall, the market is warm and inviting, complete with handcrafted ornaments, carolers, and displays. So, are you ready to cross everything off your holiday shopping list?

Shopping & Gifts

Eight additional vendor cabins are selling handpicked seasonal gifts and items in the market. Also, you won't have to carry all your packages around while enjoying the festivities. Some will deliver purchases made on-site!

From December 1 to 23, the Distillery Winter Village will offer gift wrapping for free. You can find the wrapping station on the ground level of Artscape—15 Case Goods Lane.

Food & Beverages

You can find many year-round restaurants in The Distillery District. This year, 12 new food cabins are added to take your taste buds on a food adventure.

You can have raclette, patatas bravas, schnitzel, doughnuts, empanadas, fried chicken, tacos, pizza, and many more! If looking for beverages, go to the Archeo Sommelier & Mixology Experience, Naughty or Nice Bar, Cluny Light Tunnel Bar, El Catrin Bar, or the Tree Lot Bar.
